1. lithium iron phosphate battery

Lithium iron phosphate battery: refers to the lithium-ion battery with lithium iron phosphate as the positive material. It is characterized by no cobalt and other precious elements, low price of raw materials and abundant resources of phosphorus and iron in the earth, so there is no supply problem. It has moderate working voltage (3.2V), large electric capacity (170 MAH / g) per unit weight, high discharge power, fast charging and long cycle life, and high stability in high temperature and high heat environment.

Advantage:

Compared with the common lithium cobalt and manganese batteries on the market at present, the lithium iron phosphate battery has at least the following five advantages: higher safety, longer service life, no heavy metals and rare metals (low cost of raw materials), fast charging support, wide working temperature range.

Disadvantages:

There are some defects in the performance of lithium iron phosphate, such as low density of vibration and compaction, resulting in low energy density of lithium-ion battery; high cost of material preparation and battery manufacturing, low battery yield, poor consistency; poor product consistency; intellectual property issues.

 

2.Ternary lithium battery

NCM (linixcoymnzo2, x + y + Z = 1) can be considered as a mixture of LiCoO2, LiMnO2 and LiNiO2 (Figure 4). It is generally believed that the increase of Ni content is helpful to increase the energy density of the material, the increase of Co element is helpful to improve the rate performance and the conductivity of the material, while the introduction of Mn element is beneficial to the structural stability and safety of the material.

Advantage:

Different from lithium iron phosphate, the voltage platform of the ternary lithium battery is very high, which means that the specific energy and specific power of the ternary lithium battery are greater under the same volume or weight. In addition, the ternary lithium battery also has great advantages in high rate charging and low temperature resistance.

Disadvantages:

1. Poor safety

2. Poor high temperature resistance

3. Poor service life

4. High power discharge difference

5. Toxic elements
